A brief introduction to pressure vessel steel plates
2023-06-01
Pressure vessel steel plate, refers to the carbon steel and low alloy steel plate used to manufacture the pressure vessel shell.

Pressure vessel steel plates include carbon steel, carbon-manganese steel, micro-alloy steel, low-alloy high-strength steel and low-temperature steel. The working temperature is generally -20°C to 500°C, and some can reach 560°C. Among them, it mainly refers to 16MnR steel (16 manganese capacity low-alloy steel, a type of steel), which is used to manufacture ASME-standard pressure vessels.

Pressure vessel steel plate is a special material related to the national economy and people's livelihood, and it is a short-term product in the metallurgical industry. In recent years, my country's steel plates for boilers and pressure vessels have not only achieved a certain scale in output, but also some enterprises have gradually approached the level of steel plates for boilers and pressure vessels in developed countries in terms of physical quality. So far, my country has formed a production system for steel plates for boilers and pressure vessels with a certain production scale, increasing specifications, and gradually improving quality.
